Most of them also have a bar / speakeasy option so you don’t have to leave just yet after the last bite. First thing’s first, who's your date?

Tjin's Toko
February 26, 2026
Surinamese & Asian flavours | Iconic sandwiches | Neighbourhood favorite | Comfort food | No nonsense vibes
Tjin’s Toko is one of those Amsterdam classics you simply need to know. A beloved neighbourhood spot where Asian grocery shelves meet bold Surinamese flavours and where some of the city’s most iconic sandwiches are made.
The sandwiches here are the real deal. Think broodje pom, chicken curry, salted cod, generously filled and packed with flavour. No fuss, just seriously good comfort food that hits every single time.
Grab your sandwich to go, add a juice, and thank us later.

Rosèl
February 25, 2026
Focaccia love | Refined comfort | Hospitality driven | Neighbourhood gem | Coffee & sweets
Rosèl – Focaccia done right
Golden, freshly baked focaccia piled high with bold, balanced flavours. Rosèl serves comfort food with a refined edge — almost like fine dining, but in sandwich form.
The duo behind Rosèl both come from Hospitality backgrounds. One runs the floor, the other has a solid culinary history, including time at Caron. A dream team doing what they love.
Bonus points for the details: coffee from Luuk’s, homemade cookies, and an iced coconut matcha we’re still thinking about.

BagelBoy
February 25, 2026
Bagel obsession | Casual cool | Great energy | Comfort food | Coffee & matcha
Boy, how we love bagels now! No fuss, just seriously damn tasty boys. Choose from one of five options, take a seat in their aesthetic spot, or grab your bagel to go and head to the gardens of the Rijksmuseum.
Coffee and matcha lattes are flying over the counter too. The manager-slash-host brings the kind of energy that somehow makes the bagels taste even better.
Fave? BEC Bagel: bacon, egg & American cheese.
Love? RIP & DIP: pick a bagel, rip it & dip it in cream cheese of choice.
Sure thing there is one in your neigbourhood coz they have three locations!

Fratellini
February 25, 2026
Italian deli | Classic sandwiches | Quality produce | Neighbourhood favourite | Relaxed vibes
Fratellini feels like stepping into a proper Italian deli, right in Amsterdam. Think shelves filled with Italian products, the smell of fresh bread, and sandwiches that taste like they were made with serious love for tradition.
This is the place for classic combinations done right: great bread, quality meats and cheeses, and that effortless Italian balance where everything just works. Perfect for a relaxed lunch moment or grabbing something to take away and enjoy in the sun.

EDTN
February 25, 2026
Family Business | Standout Branding | Creative Combos | French Bread | Cool Neighbourhood Spot
EDTN (Edition) a new sandwich shop in town!
To start with the branding: absolutely adore. And don’t even get us started on the sandwich combos!!
Two friends and their siblings worked their asses off to get everything just right, with mom helping out on the interior design and styling (obsessed). Don’t you just love family businesses?
Next door you’ll find their first concept: Bar Billi, an evening restaurant and bar for drinks on the terrace, late-night parties on weekends, the whole vibe. Their young entrepreneurial hearts wanted more, so they bought the place next door and turned it into Edition. Smart move? They sell the sandwiches at Bar Billi too. Smartypants behaviour.
The bread comes from a French guy they met spontaneously and wow, what a find.
Our favourites? Japanese Edition and Special Edition. No doubt about it. 🥪💥
